DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Bavarian Auto Check provides the highest quality pre-purchase inspection for BMW automobiles. We will perform the vehicle check on site, so there is no hassle of bringing the car to the dealer or a local mechanic's shop.
To start the inspection process, we highly encourage you to get a VIN history report. So much so, that if you use the AutoCheck®.
link on our site to run the report, we will credit the cost of the report, up to $14.95 to our inspection fee*. If the car has a tainted past, you will know it from the beginning and look elsewhere. We do not believe in wasting your time and money by ordering a full inspection if the vehicle has already been determined to have an inconsistent past.
We use the similar high standards that BMW dealers use to CPO their own vehicles. (Certified Pre-Owned) You will see the checklist we use and if requested, we will even show you any areas of concern that we find.
Another reason to choose us is that we use the same diagnostic equipment that the BMW dealers are issued. Not just a generic OBD1/2 reader, our equipment reads BMW specific fault codes and can run diagnostic tests on specific BMW components. We can extract valuable real time and historical information that we use to determine the overall mechanical soundness of the vehicle.This helps to ensure you are getting the best possible history available.
We go above and beyond a simple body panel check and use a paint gauge tool that measures the paint thickness in microns. It is very hard to respray a car to the factory thickness and/or match the existing panel thickness. This process is very helpful in determining if the car has had any refinishing work done.
At the end of the inspection you will have three items to help make your buying decision easier:
1) General Report
The General Report is issued by Bavarian Auto Check, LLC and will include the items we checked as well as detailing any areas of concern.
2) BMW Diagnostic Report
This report, issued by Bavarian Auto Check, LLC, will consist of any irregularities we noticed while pulling the history from the on-board computer. This can range anywhere from fault codes to airbag deployment to malfunctioning components. Please note, an inexpensive reader will not pick up on issues concerning areas outside of the motor electronics. Ours does, and we will disclose all of this information in our report.
(examples, Front Passenger servo motor malfunction, rear taillight assembly malfunction, rain sensing wiper malfunction...)
3) VIN History Report
This is the purchased VIN history report from AutoCheck®.that will give you a detailed history based on registry bureaus and other state agencies. Remember, since you chose Bavarian Auto Check, LLC to perform the inspection, we will credit the cost of this report to our full inspection fee.*
We believe that providing the above information will enable you to better judge, for yourself, if the BMW in question is the right one for you.
